S28 - The dream within reach

Written by Jonas Pro Cycling at 18:29 23/6-2014

Yet another season that exceeded the expectations. Finishing 2nd overall, a week spent at 1st spot and 4898 points - teammanagement is more than satisfied. Evan Tomkins has been the surprice of the season, starting his career at Jonas Pro, with two dissapointing results he has surely paid back in the rest of the season. Finishing 4th overall in Essex and 17th in the rider rankings, Tomkins is the man to beat on the old riders awards.

The timetrialists has had the best season by far. It is the first time, since we started our TT adventure in season 22, that we actually start earning money more money, than it cost to have the riders, in this discipline.

Twelve riders has participated in the points of season 28.:

   The Squad and the future

Very simple. Keep it younger, without cpmpromising race rhythm. A deal has already been made on Philbert Seaman, which entitles to the most shamrock teams of them all. He will replace Hitchens and Wuets. Also we have some younger leadouts coming in this season.

  In:

  Dean Sinott
Classy sprinter for the classic and flat sprintraces. Has peaked agewise, but still ave the potentiaal to perform. Shamrock jersey.

  Roy hein
Danish super domestique for Evan Tomkins in the pure hill races.

  Kerry Glazener
  Cheap teammate for the hills.

  Oswald Hudler
South African leadout 2 man. A copy of Rai Parades who reteired this season.

  Out:

  Mario Dobbelaere
The man with most races for the team. Will probably not be beaten within many seasons. The last man who from the generation who took us from Zyte division to top division. We salute you.

  Rai parades
Almost as old school as Mario. Transfered only a few weeks later and is also considered a team legend.

  Jeremias Enriqie
Two time 5th in GC TvA. Solid Cobbler who helped kick our cobble team in place.

   Next seasons goals:

With the agening of our team we do not believe we can score higher next season than this one. But with the arrival of Philbert Seaman and Dean Sinnott we expect to keep our level. We don't expect Tomkins nor the TT'ers can do anything near a dacapo of season 28. On the other hand we expect the opposite. But with the significant strenghtened sprint outfit we expect to perform like 'normal' here. keep in mind that some of the races that was raced by sprinter is now raced by Hillers.

   Team goals:
   Top2 / 4800 points / 500k

Sprintoutfit - Hitchens, Wuets, Sinnott and Seaman:
   2100 pts / 220k

Timetrialers - Roewens, Hoero, Rictor, Dadakos and Kane:
   1100 pts / 120k

   Hillers - Tomkins and Kane:
   1000 pts / 100k

   Cobblers - Guldhammer:
   Podium in Twedaagse
   600 pts / 60k

   ***

   Long term goals:

   S29 top2 or reach 4800 pts
   s30 top1 or reach 5000 pts
   s31 top1 and reach 5100 pts

We wish you a good season.

Thanks. I try to set realistic goals. But it depends a lot on how your transformation goes :)

Team Tirilla at 16:53 24/6-2014
I think this or the next season is very realistic - so far you have been following your goals/plans quite well!
